William Frederick Gibbons, an American musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor was born on December 16, 1949. He is best known for being the guitarist and primary lead vocalist of the American rock group ZZ Top. His first band, the Moving Sidewalks, released the song Flash in 1968 and supported the Jimi Hendrix Experience on four occasions.

ZZ Top was founded by Gibbons in late 1969, and ZZ Top’s First Album was made available in early 1971. He also goes by the name Billy F. Gibbons, The Reverend. Gibbons was the band’s youngest member, despite the fact that all three of its members were born in 1949.

Gibbons has shared the stage with different musicians and appeared in roles on many television programs, including Bones. On the 2011 Rolling Stone list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, he came in at number 32.
